Need to change your accident, critical illness, and/or identity protection benefits?
In most cases, you may only make changes to your benefits during Open Enrollment. However, employees enrolled in accident, critical illness, and/or identity protection coverage may choose to make some limited changes or cancel their coverage at any time during the year. If you would like to make changes or drop coverage for one or all of these plans, please see the necessary steps below.
Notify the LiveWell team
Notify the LiveWell benefits team of your desire to make a change to your accident, critical illness, and/or identity protection benefits by emailing livewell@mcclatchy.com.
You do not need to provide any documentation.
Update your benefits
You will receive an enrollment notice via email that specifies your deadline to make changes to your elections. Any enrollments or changes made will take effect the first of the following month.
Notes:
- For accident and critical illness plans, employees currently enrolled in coverage may waive their coverage. Any new enrollments or changes in coverage level may only be made during Open Enrollment or if you experience a qualifying life event.
- For identity protection, employees currently enrolled in coverage may waive their existing coverage or move between the Employee Only and Employee + Family levels of coverage.
