Process a Life Event in UKG

Within 31 days of the marriage, you will need to process a Life Event via our UKG portal and provide documentation supporting the marriage/domestic partnership.
To process a Life Event, you'll need to visit the Benefits area in UKG.  In this instance, you'll want to choose marriage or domestic partnership as the type of event. Update your benefits

Manage your profile to add your new dependent and then update your benefit elections. Any enrollments or changes you make will take effect on the first day of the month following the date the required documentation is received.

Note for the Dependent Eligibility Verification Process: McClatchy reserves the right to periodically audit enrolled dependents to ensure they meet our eligibility requirements.

Update personal info

Update your personal information in UKG such as address,  emergency contact, and federal/state tax withholdings.

Update 401(k) beneficiaries

Update your 401(k) beneficiary information online at www.vanguard.com or by phone at (800)523-1188. (Plan #098630)
